ALEXANDER KORZHAKOV
He is a Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the former head of the Security Service for the Russian President Yeltsin.
SAM KISLIN
He was born in Odessa in 1935, graduated from Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy. He emigrated to the USA in 1972. He is the owner of TransCommodities Inc. He had joint projects with Mikhail Chernoy in the early 1990’s.
OLEG DERIPASKA
In the early 1990’s, he was Manager of Sayansk aluminium smelter, later on – its Director General. He was the founder of Siberian Aluminium Co. At present, he is the owner of Basic Element Co., which includes the global aluminium leader.
VALERY STRELETSKY
He is a former officer of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department (unit for control of state property theft); from 1994 – Head of the “P” Department (governmental corruption) of the Russian President’s Security Service. He participated in the detention of Lisovsky and Yevstafyev (the story of ‘the photocopier box’). After Boris Fyodorov’s removal, he headed the National Sports Foundation for 2 months. In the autumn of 1996, his administration was dismissed.
ALIMZHAN TOKHTAKHUNOV
He is an authoritative entrepreneur, more widely known as Taiwanchik, born in Tashkent. In the late 1980’s, he left the USSR and settled down in Paris. In July 2003, he returned to Moscow.
JULIA LATYNINA
She is a journalist, publicist, and writer. In various years, she was economic analyst at the newspapers Sevodnya (Today), Izvestiya (News), the magazine Expert, the monthly bulletin Sovershenno Sekretno. At present, she is the presenter of the programme Kod Dostupa (Access Code) at the radio station Ekho Moskvy (Moscow Echo), an employee of the Novaya Gazeta (New Newspaper) and the Weekly Magazine, and a columnist of the Kommersant newspaper.
ALEXANDER DOBROVINSKY
He is a lawyer. He emigrated from the USSR, lived in Paris and New York City. In 1992, he returned to Russia. He participated in the cases related to the privatisation of TNK and Rosneft. The so-called group of Mikhail Chernoy, Nekrich & Dobrovinsky sold the shares of Nizhnevartovskneftegaz Co. to Alfa for USD 200 mln.
VLADIMIR IVANIDZE
He is a private detective, a former columnist of the Le Monde, La Republique. He lives in France.
ANZOR KIKALISHVILI
He is the head of the Century XXI Association, the successor of O. Kvantrishvili.
VLADIMIR KOZLOVSKY
He is an in-country reporter of the Russian Agency of the BBC in the USA. He was born in Moscow on the 15th of March, 1947. He graduated from the Institute of Asian and African Countries. He worked as a translator. In 1974, he applied for emigration and soon came to the US. From 1979, he has been a BBC reporter in New York City. He is a permanent author at the Russian-language newspaper Novoye Russkoye Slovo (New Russian Word).
ARTYOM TARASOV
He was born in 1950 in Moscow. He is an entrepreneur, one of the first cooperators in the USSR. He helped Russian individuals to establish companies abroad.
