Documents, certificates, reports on the activities held regarding the criminal case on the famous ‘forged advice notes,’ as we suppose, were taken from Russia to the USA in the late 1990’s. Unique materials which reveal the mechanism of large-scale theft of funds from the state budget of the Russian Federation are now collecting dust somewhere in New York City and are interesting to journalists only. Though it is unlikely that the intelligence agencies stopped taking interest in this story…

The Chernoy brothers & Co.
In the early 90’s, Mikhail was involved in the case of forged advice notes. No evidence was found then (or wasn’t sought for a kickback), and Mikhail was involved in the case as a witness. . Lately, the mass media was focused on the cooperation of Lev Chernoy with Anatoly Bykov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Krasnoyarsk aluminium smelter, but let’s talk about this later, that’s another story.
